My wife had been on bed rest for the last couple weeks to monitor her pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure caused by pregnancy). The doctor took one look at my wife, checked her blood pressure, looked at us and said “We are having the baby today!”

What?! After a moment of shock and a few questions, we were rushed upstairs for an emergency C-Section!

My wife is doing good now, but my son’s lungs were not quite fully developed since he was delivered 5 weeks premature. He was born only weighing 4.4 pounds. He is still in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) being constantly monitored. Continue Reading…
