7 Resources for Busy Pastors (20% Off)

I’m not good at selling stuff.

This is mainly because I’m not in ministry to make money; I’m in ministry to make a difference.

Sometimes because I don’t want to come across like a slimy salesman, I don’t do a good job at letting you know the resources that I offer that could help you and your church or ministry.

I’m not serving you as best as I can if I don’t tell you about how I can help you.

So today, I thought I would bite the bullet and talk about some of the resources I offer that could help you, and I’m also going to make them all 20% off.

Starting today until the end of July, I’m going to throw a big summer sale of 20% off everything in the Pro Preacher Store from now until the end of July.

So here’s a quick overview of seven resources in the store, and how it might be helpful to you.

1. Sermon Calendar

Planning your sermons takes a lot of time, and one of the best ways to get ahead, get organized, and save time is to use an organized template.

So I created what I think is a beautiful spreadsheet designed to help you focus on planning an entire year of sermons. And if a spreadsheet isn’t your thing, I’ve also created a PDF with full-page planning templates.

They include options for US holidays or not (if you don’t want them or don’t live in the US).

You could probably create your own spreadsheet, but this beauty took me days to fine-tune.

So for just a few bucks, you can save yourself the headache of creating a template and looking up all the dates of holidays, and start doing the work that really matters—seeking God for wisdom on what to preach.

2. Funeral Sermon Bundle

Officiating a funeral service is probably the worst part of being a pastor.

You hope you never have to do another one, but the reality is that people in your church and your community will die. Sometimes it’s expected. Sometimes it’s sudden.

Funerals never happen when it’s convenient for your ministry. You’ll be having a busy week and suddenly a funeral gets added to your schedule. So instead of dropping the ball on all of your other responsibilities, you need to be prepared.

Every pastor needs a set of funeral sermons for every occasion in their toolkit. So I took mine that I compiled from funerals that I’ve performed and put them into a bundle for you.

FIVE COMPLETE, EDITABLE FUNERAL CEREMONY WORD DOCUMENTS:

  1. A general funeral for a believer from Psalm 23
  2. A funeral for a nonbeliever from Psalm 90
  3. A funeral for a tragic death from John 11
  4. A funeral for someone who fought a long battle with an illness from 1 Peter 1
  5. A funeral for the loss of a child from Mark 10

I hope you never have to use these, but we all know it’s inevitable that you’ll need them.

I was called to perform a funeral for the tragic loss of a 16-year-old boy a few months ago. It was heartbreaking. I was a mess, but I was able to rely on the loss of a child sermon, and God used it to help a lot of hurting people.

You need this one if you don’t have anything already.

3. Wedding Sermon Bundle

On a brighter note, officiating a wedding can be one of the happier moments of ministry.

I love performing weddings, and being part of the beginning of a couple’s commitment to love one another for the rest of their lives.

You’ll have more time to schedule weddings on your calendar, but again, with all the demands of ministry, you need a set of wedding sermons in your toolkit.

This will save you a ton of time and stress for your next wedding.

YOU’LL GET:

  1. A traditional ceremony from 1 Corinthians 13
  2. A traditional ceremony from Ephesians 5
  3. A short and sweet ceremony from Mark 10
  4. A modern ceremony from Genesis 2
  5. And a vow rededication ceremony
  6. BONUS: A Wedding Planning Sheet to help in your first meeting with the bride and groom.

Like the funeral sermon bundle, this is something I wish I had access to earlier in my ministry.

4. Preaching Nuts & Bolts

Preaching Nuts & Bolts is the first book I wrote about preaching. It’s a practical guide to getting better at the art of sermon preparation.

The book is a quick read (which is my favorite kind of read), and it’s jam-packed with practical advice from some of my best articles, plus additional content you won’t find anywhere else.

YOU’LL LEARN:

  • How to master the art of sermon preparation from the ground up.
  • How to save time writing messages.
  • How to have your sermons written weeks or even months in advance
  • What it takes to be a successful preacher.
  • How to build a sermon illustration database of nothing but the best sermon illustrations
  • And more…

You’ve bought drinks that cost more than this book right now.

5. Preach and Deliver

Preach and Deliver is the second book I’ve written. It’s essentially a follow-up to Preaching Nuts & Bolts.

Preaching Nuts & Bolts was all about sermon preparation, Preach and Deliver is all about the delivery.

What are the essential components of good preaching? This book covers the most important elements of sermon delivery.

In my years of education on a bachelors and masters level from great Christian institutions, I learned the message of the Bible. But I didn’t learn how to deliver that message. It took me a decade of failure, learning from great preachers, and years of research to learn what I have written in this book for you.

This book will help you to think through the way you deliver a sermon—the nuances of things like your body language, eye contact, gestures, and more—so that you can preach the gospel in an even more powerful way that grips the hearts and minds of your audience.

At the end of every chapter, there’s a challenge to help you apply what you learned so that you can practice and get better at it.

Reading a book won’t make you a better preacher. It’s a start. But the big difference is in taking action and applying what you learned. So if you do the challenges in this book, I guarantee that your sermon delivery will improve.

That’s a small investment with the potential for big return.

6. Productive Christian Journal

The Productive Christian Journal is a tool that I created for myself.

It’s a 12-week guide to accomplish your goals and grow in your faith.

In 2015, I was working full-time as a pastor and pulling late nights to finish my seminary degree.

My wife was also working night shifts as a nurse, and we had two little kids at home. So she had the kids in the morning, I had them after work, and we saw each other now and then in between.

I was so busy doing everything else that I wasn’t taking care of myself. My life was out of control. I was spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally drained.

I needed a better way to stay focused on the most important things and get more done.

So in 2016, I began playing around with this productivity journaling system, making small tweaks as I went along.

Using this system over the next few years, I started waking up early, studying the Bible more, exercising daily, spending more time with my family, and accomplishing big goals with the little time I had.

I graduated with honors, wrote two books, and unexpectedly stepped into God’s call to be a writer.

The journal didn’t do the work for me, but it sure helped. I created this journal for myself. But if you need help getting more done, staying focused on your goals, and starting a daily routine to change your life, it’ll help you too.

7. Best Preaching Year

Best Preaching Year is an online preaching course designed to help you get ahead on preparing your sermons so that you can save time, stress less, and preach better sermons!

By the end of this course, you’ll have:

  • 4-6 weeks of sermons written in advance
  • 12 months of sermons planned.
  • A system to save time preparing your sermon every week that works for your unique schedule
  • Plus, you will become a more organized, less stressed, better prepared, and more effective preacher.

This course takes a deeper dive in content from Preaching Nuts and Bolts and includes a ton of bonus resources for sermon ideas, sermon calendars, and more.

By the way, I’m probably going to reshoot this entire course soon, because my video production and editing skills have improved tremendously since filming the course. But the content is still fantastic.

If you buy this course, you get lifetime access. That includes any future updates (which could also include price increases).

It’s normally $97 but right now until the end of July, you can get it for just $77.

Wrapping Up

Those are the products and resources that I’m currently offering at the Pro Preacher Store.

I have a few more things in the works, but for now I hope you look them over, see if it’s something that might be helpful for you.

I don’t want anything from you. I want something for you.

So if you for any reason aren’t satisfied with your purchase, I offer money-back guarantees on all of my products.

My only goal here is to help you all grow in your ability and influence to preach the Gospel.

So if you use any of my resources, thanks. I couldn’t keep doing this ministry without you.
